Physicochemical Properties of MoVTeNb Mixed Oxide Catalysts Synthesized using Different Vanadium Sources

The use of different vanadium sources in the synthesis multi-metal MoVTeNb oxide catalysts has been investigated for their effect on physicochemical properties catalysts. Metal oxides were synthesized by slurry method assisted with a microwave irradiation. Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), vanadyl sulphate (VOSO4) and ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3) used as sources, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern showed existence orthorhombic (M1) phases all catalyst prepared using V2O5 produced highest formation phase. This was further supported Inductive Couple Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES), which that V: Mo ratio, mainly responsible high catalytic activity. Temperature Programmed Reduction Hydrogen (H2-TPR) better reducibility when compared to others. Reaction (TPRn) confirmed oxidants active propane conversion into acrylic acid originated from lattice catalyst.
